LondonI had never imagined that my cosmetic skin treatment could actually get me devastated. I feel sorry for not listening to an old buddy about visiting a popular beauty clinic in his neighbourhood. A sudden exposure to a chemical agent has left my skin with dark patches and causes immense pain of late. I never knew that a skin patch test was so necessary. Being a lab instructor, I've spent a number of years handling chemicals, some of which are truly harmful to the human skin. I've had my share of awful experiences and one incident that triggered long-term mental anguishment was an exposure to a chemical solution that inflicted permanent black patches on my forearm. The glass tube bearing the solution was found to be broken as it fell on the ground and started spreading all over the place.
